The new West Tarneit Station will be located near the corner of Leakes and Davis roads. When it opens in 2026, the new V/Line station will include a 4 bay bus interchange, parking for up to 400 commuters, and an accessible pedestrian underpass. The station will also feature a welcoming landscaped precinct, equipped with seating, separated walking and cycling pathways, bike hoops and secure bike storage. For more information, and for the final designs, see: West Tarneit Station | Engage Victoria
Dylan is fully aware of the current issues at Tarneit Station and is actively advocating with the Minister and Treasurer for an increased number of 9-carriage cars at peak times.
Before we can significantly increase the number of services running at peak times, a new superhub at Sunshine Station needs to be built to untangle Melbourne's most complex rail junction outside the CBD. The new superhub will unlock capacity for more than 40 trains an hour to travel through Sunshine. Two new platforms will unlock more capacity for additional services for the growing communities of Melton and Wyndham. Works on the new superhub will kick off in early 2026, with the job done by 2030. For more information see: Your new Sunshine Station Superhub - Victoria’s Big Build

In Tarneit roads are managed by either the Wyndham City Council or by the Department of Transport and Planning. Our funding for road maintenance has remained steady, having invested almost $7 billion over the past 10 years to maintain and strengthen roads.
