The new West Tarneit Station will be located near the corner of Leakes and Davis roads. When it opens in 2026, the new V/Line station will include a 4 bay bus interchange, parking for up to 400 commuters, and an accessible pedestrian underpass. The station will also feature a welcoming landscaped precinct, equipped with seating, separated walking and cycling pathways, bike hoops and secure bike storage. We recently announced that the 2026-27 Budget will include funding to deliver uplifted 9-car trains on AM peak services, which will make a massive difference to public transport connectivity in Wyndham.
These nine-car trains will have up to 50 per cent more capacity than the current six-car trains. It benefits passengers along the line, including the new West Tarneit Station set to open later this year.

In Tarneit roads are managed by either the Wyndham City Council or by the Department of Transport and Planning. Our funding for road maintenance has remained steady, having invested almost $7 billion over the past 10 years to maintain and strengthen roads.
